What should be noted when converting RF coaxial cable components

1.  Avoid using frequencies that are too high: Try not to use RF adapters and test cables that are much higher than the current test frequency. For example, when testing the stray signals of cellular base stations, an 18GHz SMA interface test cable and adapter can be used instead of a 40GHz 2.92mm interface cable and adapter.

2.  Correct use of torque wrench: Use a torque wrench to tighten the connector, ensuring that the specified torque is not exceeded. Using pliers (such as pointed nose pliers or pliers) may cause damage to the connector.

3.  Keep the connector clean: Use a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to clean the connector, but do not use a cotton swab to clean the inner conductor of the air medium connector.

4.  Choose the appropriate cable: When selecting cable components, first determine the acceptable loss value of the system, and then select the smaller cable size based on this loss value.
